Car bombs kill nine in Baghdad

Baghdad: Officials suicide bombers detonated two cars filled with explosives outside the fortified Green Zone of Baghdad, killing at least nine people and injuring 23, said.

The explosions marked the beginning of a day violent, in the Iraqi capital where two bomb attacks more and a jewellery heist left three more dead and 15 injured.

Twin suicide car bombs irritated - windows through Baghdad. Cars jump just to the outside of a control point of safety on a busy road leading to the Green Zone of Baghdad international airport.

Two police officers and an official at the hospital al-Yarmouk said nine people, including five Iraqi soldiers were killed and 23 people were injured in the attack.(AP)
