PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Monday adopted unanimously a resolution against us drone attacks in Pakistan on Earth, Geo News reported.

Bashir Ahmed Bilour, a provincial Minister, filed a resolution in Assembly KP, condemning that us drone strikes on Pakistan's tribal region.

The resolution describes the attacks of drone being counterproductive which kill innocent citizens of Pakistan.

Provincial Government will not accept dictated no power against attacks of predators, said the resolution.

The Assembly had requested the Government Federal Monday to convene the US Envoy to Pakistan to end of drone strikes the request.

The resolution also demanded that the United States hand on UAV technology in Pakistan so that civilian casualties could be reduced.

He stated that drone attacks are against the sovereignty of Pakistan and, accordingly, could not be tolerated.

J'ai passé des tonnes de temps sur ce ; probablement 10 fois tant qu'il normalement m'emmène à design et code un site Web. Voici pourquoi.

Conception de vous-même est un complexe, frustrant de processus. J'ai tendance à pense que je suis de ceux qui a bon goût dans la conception de sites web. I made comments in the past that squatting should be regulated and it demands that do you something with a domain to keep it. Many snap back saying that it is anti-capitalist and this estate should be treated as physical real estate. They say that the value of domain name must be dictated by the economic laws of supply and demand, and that if something is rare, it becomes more precious.

I do this. Real estate is virtual. It is ludicrous to think that domain namespace must be treated as real property. The only way that the comparison would be realistic, it is if there is an international Committee that created the land and sold it. Which does not occur on this planet. The system of real estate exists because the land is real, physical and established. The provision of domain space is effectively infinite. Anyone who works with virtual hosts knows it's true. You can create new hosts indefinitely and use all kinds of names.

This brings me to what I believe, it is the domain name squatting. Thedomain names should always be good markets and that there should be no limits in their creation. ICANN recently took a step forward in making it so a company could spend a few hundred grand to have their own domain extension. For example, Apple could go buy .apple as an extension, and instead use Apple.com/trailers may be www.apple or just apple. Then, as subdomains, they could create a store.apple instead of store.apple.com. The only problem with this approach by ICANN, it is that it is cost prohibitive to obtain your own extension. Only the rich can do it.

But if it was cheap, it opens many possibilities for domains. If a squatter is aware that people have millions of attractive domain name alternates, there is less value in what they are accumulation. The same rule of law, that I mentioned above applies. If you purchased the .labrum extension and has not done anything with it, and then in a short period of time, ICANN must let buy me clifton.labrum as a subdomain. If you do not use .labrum in a long period of time, I could then buy .labrum pure and simple.

Certainly, there must be many things that I think are here and there are many reasons to like domain name system, but my basic idea is that there is a surplus of name since its creation space is cheap and unlimited. Once this is the case, these millions of unused domain names float in availability and may actually get used.

Apache, PHP, MySQL on Mac OS X

Error in deserializing body of reply message for operation 'translate'. The maximum string content length quota (8192) has been exceeded while reading XML data. This quota may be increased by changing the MaxStringContentLength property on the XmlDictionaryReaderQuotas object used when creating the XML reader. Line 1, position 9150.

I started using MAMP a couple years ago to manage all my local web development needs. It comes in an easy install package and gives you Apache, MySQL, PHP, and more. It uses a dashboard widget to turn the servers on and off. It's a great solution, though I have three primary gripes with it:

Turning the servers on and off is buggy. Sometimes they fail to shut off when you restart your computer and the widget says they're there when really they're not. I've gone the rounds on the troubleshooting for this, and I have a decent solution but it takes a couple minutes each time I do it.The port numbers in the URL are blade: http://localhost:8888. Sure, you can use them to create virtual hosts (make Site A show up by typing localhost: 5555, for example) but they are just noise. Why does that matter? I demo websites regularly, and I want the URL to look clean and organized. I guess I'm a picky designer.Along with my last point, I hate the idea of installing extra something when my operating system already comes with a solution. Using MAMP is a waste of the Sites folder and the Web sharing feature on my Mac.

By using the built-in Mac OS X server, you use resources that are already available and are already there by default. It works great.

There are instructions all over the web about how to get the built-in server up and running on Mac OS X Leopard, but each phase of the process is on a separate site, and in some cases the documentation is too wordy and unclear. I'm going to attempt to give the instructions here in a short and simple fashion.

Turn turn the Apache server on, simply go to system preferences then go to Sharing.

Check the Web sharing box in the list and shazam. Apache is on. You'll notice in the same window that you can set what your computer name is. If you pick bob as your name, then in your web browser you would use bob.local to view your document root, which is the Sites folder found just under your home folder. (As you can see, I consider the Sites folder to be pretty important, so I dress it up from the default icon) This window tells you the IP address that other computers are also use to see the contents of your Sites folder in a web browser. As long as you leave Web Sharing checked, your server is running. That means it starts and stops as you log in and out. It's fully automatic.

Mac OS X Leopard also comes with PHP 5.x so you just have to enable it. By default, it's off (don't ask me why). You're going to need to edit the httpd.conf file for your Apache server in order to turn it on.

By default, you can't see the httpd.conf file in Finder. It's a hidden system file. To get to it, open Finder, go to up to GB and select Go to Folder… (or hit Command + Shift + G). Enter/private/etc/apache2 in the field and hit Go. There you'll find httpd.conf. In order to edit the file, you will likely have to edit its permissions. Just get Info on the file, click the little lock to unlock it (administrator password required) and give your user Read & Write permission. Then open it with your code editor of choice. On Line 114 you'll see this:

# LoadModule php5_module libexec/apache2/libphp5.so

This is the function that fires up PHP. It'll be commented out with a # so just delete that and you're ready to go:

LoadModule php5_module libexec/apache2/libphp5.so

PHP is up and ready to go. You won't have to do anything else. It'll always be available. If you're experienced with httpd.conf files, this is the one where you do all your magic for your OS X Apache server.

Go to the MySQL download page and find the one that says Mac OS X (package format). Download it. Once you have it, double-click the .dmg file to mount it. You'll see two install packages:

Double-click the mysql-5 .x .x - osx10 .x-x 86 .pkg one first. Go through the installation. If you get a "cannot install this software" error, just go back then click continue and you'll be okay. It's just a bug in the install. Once that installation completes, double-click the MySQLStartupItem.pkg. Complete that installation. This one makes it so MySQL starts automatically when you log in to your computer).

The last thing to do is double-click MySQL.prefPane. This will install a little widget in your System Preferences that will allow you to turn MySQL on and off with a checkbox.

The last thing to do is interface with your database. If you don't want to deal with the command-line, and you feel like puking every time you look at phpMyAdmin, then you can get a thick client that will let you manipulate your database. To do just that, I highly recommend Querious. It's a great way to manage both local and remote databases, and it's pretty cheap. Once you get it installed, connect to your local MySQL stuff by using localhost with the user root:

You can then create and modify all the databases you want. Your mom will be so proud.

A couple other options for a thick client database manager are Sequel Pro and Navicat for MySQL. In my opinion, the UI on these apps is inferior to that of Querious, purpose they may possess power that you need.

Wow, the nerd factor on this blog post is really getting high, but there's one more thing I have to tell you about: virtual hosts. Patrick Gibson provides a handy little script and handy little instructions on how to make it so you can give unique names for the folders in your Sites directory. So if you have a family blog in there, you can create a virtual host called "family" and when you go to your browser, you just point it to http://family and it references that folder. It's great. Check it out.

The design of a razor nailing

To set the stage for why I speak a razor and not a user interface, I'll start this post off the coast with the famous statement by Steve Jobs in 2003:

I bought a new Braun Pocket GB P-70 last year because it was on sale on Amazon for $10. I used primarily razors Gillette, but I thought that since my current electric shaver was sprint to death, I try a new. He was sitting in the packaging for a time under my sink in the bathroom, and I thought too much about it. It is time to go to IPA last fall, then I caught the new razor and taken with me in Boston.

With the help of it was fantastic.

He solved all the references, which I have had with other razors:

Shavers come with a lid in plastic to foil cutter which always falls and usually gets lost.Shavers electric have exclusive, integrated batteries that rarely hold a charge in the long term and require carrying a cable load.Most of the shavers can't get wet and you need to remove a small brush just to clean out the blades.

The Braun GB pocket made all of this right. You can run it under water for washing, it uses two AA batteries (just changed my first value after 3 months of use of other daily; my plug-in Remington lasts barely 3 weeks on a charge), and it has a cover which slides up to protect the aluminium foil. It comes to designing great products.

There is something nice or fancy on the aesthetics of this device. It looks like mostly all other shaver autour. But obviously Braun stopped to find what was wrong with the other shavers electric and they were all right with the GB pocket.

It is common sense now, but there are certainly many blade products out there.

Virtual hosts on Virtualbox

Use a nifty script to automatically generate virtual hosts on my Mac. Use them for two reasons. First of all, they give me nice, clean and short URLs. When I am working on a project on my local machine, I can type in sl as the address of my site instead of localhost/sandlot. The second reason why even though I can use paths relative to root on my server local, just as I do so on my remote server. So to refer to my images directory, I can just use images/ui/images instead of trying to keep a track where I am with respect to the root of the document (e.g....)/../..(/ IU/images /).

This works perfectly in Apache on my Mac, but I have recently installed Virtualbox, so I could test stuff in Internet Explorer. Your local server from Virtualbox referencing was not clear exactly, and I found that I had to use the IP address of my Mac and the Sites folder in the folder of the House of reference. The main problem is that all root-relative paths break because the URL in Windows does not follow the same pattern. SL is very different from 10.0.1.2/~Clifton/Sites/sandlot.

After some research, I discovered a way to make Windows see my nice little virtual hosts. Here's how.

Access your hosts here file:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\etc

Edit this file with Notepad and on the bottom, remove the line that has 127.0.0.1 on it and add a new line for each virtual host that you like this:

10.0.2.2 name

The 10.0.2.2 is an IP address by default Virtualbox uses to refer to your Mac (assuming that you use the mode of networking NAT as I'm default), and the "name" is the name of your virtual host. If my complete list looks like this:

10.0.2.2 sl
10.0.2.2 clifton
10.0.2.2 cubs of
10.0.2.2 labrum
10.0.2.2 labrums
10.0.2.2 launches

Now, I can see local files instead of pushing things to a remote server so that the paths to work. He also recorded keystrokes that I can use short Windows names, just as I do on my Mac.

Migrate from a Gmail account to another

I recently acquired a new domain name that I've wanted for years, so I set about creating a new account email for myself. I host my email on Google Apps for your domain, which is the same as Gmail, but with your own custom email address.

Move an account to another Gmail is widely documented, but all of the methods I've found were unsatisfactory. Most suggest using POPs for storing all your emails to your new account. The fundamental problem is that you lose all your tags (version of Gmail e-mail records) and that you would have to re-categorize all your messages. It is simply not acceptable.

Happened to me on a tip that I have explored more, and it worked like a dream. To begin, all the following must first be in the order:

You must have (old and new) up and running, with IMAP enabled both Gmail accounts.You need a mail client that supports IMAP. I used Apple's Mail. I hear Thunderbird works nicely as well.Ensure that the former e-mail and new accounts are set up and work in your mail client.

The essence of what is happening here is that copy the folders for the email from the old account in the other. Your customer is then synchronized these changes local to the server, and before long, your email address is the same between the two accounts. I have created a chart to the right that should make quite clear what to do. Here are a few tips.

I suggest to some files at once, because it takes time for mail to synchronize it with the server. I tried to synchronize my Gmail folders (working all mail, drafts, Mail sent, etc.) and the folder "mail all the" expired after approximately 10,000 messages. Then feel free to do so in a little smaller amounts. If you have tons of email, it is a good idea to start this task, and then go to bed, because it can take hours.

Be sure to also select all emails in the Inbox message list and move them to the new Inbox. Use the Inbox folder, but to capture the actual messages with a "select all" and drag it to the new Inbox. They you move on and subsequently your old Inbox must be empty.

Once your email has been copied to the new account to your satisfaction, it is a good idea to log the old account via the web client and turn to your new address. You can also set an answering of vacation to tell people that you have a new email address, and that they must update their records. This will save you the task of spam everyone you know with a notice that your email address has changed.

There you have it. If you have your eye on a Gmail account, or have you discovered how awesome Google Apps for Your Domain is, then fear the e-mail migration process.

Multiple calendars with Google Calendar, iCal and iPhone

I did much research, and suffice it to say that the information on this subject is difficult to trace. Companies buy you their software for this appear to have a good grip on Google search results. Finally, I have developed a free solution to get all my calendars to sync, wireless for free-with CalDAV not ActiveSync. I prefer to keep my iPhone Exchange ActiveSync configuration to my work day. Do not forget that the portion of the iPhone will work only if you are using iPhone OS 3.0.
Follow the instructions. This works for Google Apps and Gmail. Publish a comment if you have a question.

Your calendars Google (gCals) must be prepared to feed all the rest. They are the source of data. If you have any in iCal now, then this:

Now, it may seem counter-intuitive, but you will delete all your calendars to iCal. This is why we have a backup just in case. You should have a Tabula Rasa. We will add now each gCal calendar in iCal one at a time as a separate account.

Go to iCal > Preferences, click the tab of accounts .Click the plus sign over to add a new account.Put the name of the calendar, your user name (email address Gmail or your Google Apps email address) and your password.The URL for the account is

https://www.Google.com/calendar/DAV/you@Gmail.com/user

…to your main calendar. For all other calendars, there:

https://www.Google.com/calendar/DAV/CALENDARID/user

When CALENDARID is the funky ID found in the settings for each calendar. Return gCal, click the calendar you add (assuming that this is not the first, primary, then copy and paste the ID at the bottom.) It will be a mess truncated, but it is important. Ultimately, your votre URL URL account will look like

https://www.Google.com/calendar/DAV/labrums.org_h3jjg5dsmkc1geclnnjf0oec28@group.Calendar.Google.com/user
(this is a string when you put it, I just had to break the line, so it fits on this Web site)

Click Add and you're all set. Repeat for each additional calendar using its ID timetable provided by gCal.

At this point, you can just plug in your iPhone, open iTunes, go to the Info tab and to say to synchronize all of your calendars. The gCals should appear in the list. If you prefer to do it manually, continue reading.

This works well, as it does in iCal. Before you begin, an email yourself the account URL you used in the prior step with each individual calendar ID. This way you can just copy and paste (w00t!) the URL of mail on your iPhone in the parameters. It is much easier than their capture everything.

Once you have the added, take a gander in the implementation timetable. You will notice that the colors are defined by gCal so go find those you want. We hope that Google has finally will give us a more granular control of these colors, because I consider that they are rather dull. The good news is that colors are consistent in all three sectors: iCal, iPhone and gCal. It is a great feature.

That is all there is to it. You can add an Exchange account to your iPhone, now since you won't need Google sync anymore. In September 2009 with Snow Leopard, you can add this same Exchange calendar to iCal. Apple step in and out of the nobility

Apple has recently removed sexual nature of the App Store apps. I was delighted to hear this. I hate shots with a list of applications, only to be hit in the face with some impertinent, out-of-place app which has no reason to be there.

The most recent and unfortunate rumors suggest that Apple will create a category "Explicit" for the submission of the app. With gratitude, I assume that this category could probably be blocked.

I decided to send Apple feedback. Companies that make good choices should praises and validated. Apple has made a good choice, but probably due to pressure exerted by the licentious content providers, they are buckling and providing a new channel for this content.

Here's what I wrote to Apple:

I wish to to delete you for your recent efforts the sexually explicit content from the App Store applauding. This is something noble and commendable to do.

Steve Jobs said in his speech on the App Store that Apple allow not pornography. You have so far allowed yourselves get sucked into the morally relative battle of what exactly is "porn", and contained sexual of varying degrees of offensiveness has penetrated the App Store.

Rumors are flying that you will create an "explicit" category for that content. While I find that it is unnecessary (I believe that the entire category should be prevented from permanently presentation), I suppose that this will be something that can be voluntarily blocked users.

There are various ways a person can consume sexual material. You do need not taint your otherwise lovely App Store with this. I say end entirely with her.

Obviously enough people (probably from parents of children with Touches of the iPod) complained to Apple to open it in the first place.

Hisense unveils new consumer WHDI accessories, cable haters rejoice
